Meet the Team

Klaartje Telford MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Klaartje joined the team at Walthamstow in November 2014 and has previously worked at our surgery in New Addington.  Klaartje graduated from the vet school at Utrecht University in 2007 and worked in the Netherlands for five years before moving to the UK in 2012.

Klaartje has three cats Moos, Tattie and Fiep and a rabbit called Lunch.  Her special interests are feline medicine and veterinary dentistry and Klaartje is constantly improving her knowledge and hands-on experience in these subjects.

Louise Groot BVSc MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Louise graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2009 and then spent four years travelling the world as a Veterinary Officer in the British Army.  She joined the Goddard Group in 2014, initially working at the Wanstead Hospital and transferring to the Walthamstow surgery in 2016.  Louise loves getting to know pets and their owners and following their veterinary care throughout their lives.  She has two kittens of her own and so understands the bond created and the care our pets need.  Louise has a special interest in medicine and recently gained a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice.  Outside of work Louise loves cycling and playing with her kittens.

Lorna Hewlett - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Lorna joined the Walthamstow team in June 2006. She completed her training and became a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2011. Lorna was promoted to Senior Veterinary Nurse at the Walthamstow branch in 2013.  She is currently working towards the ISFM Feline Friendly Nursing diploma and has encouraged all staff to embrace the cat friendly handling techniques.

Lorna has a keen interest in hand rearing kittens and has a lot of experience in this.  She has two cats of her own, Gibson and Zebadee.  Zebadee was one of her first hand rears and she just couldn't be parted from her.  She is a house cat and therefore Lorna is in an ideal position to advise and guide clients on house enrichment and care for house cats.

Amy Regan - Student Veterinary Nurse

Amy joined the Goddard Group in 2008 and transferred to the Walthamstow branch in 2013.  She has studied for and achieved her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification and is now working towards becoming qualified as a Veterinary Nurse.  Amy has three dogs of her own, one of which was a rescue dog obtained from our kennels in Chingford.

Louise Moody - Student Veterinary Nurse

Louise joined the Goddard Group in 2013 after studying Animal Care and Animal Management.  She is currently studying towards qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse assisted by her mentor, vet and the training staff at the Group's Nursing College located at the Wanstead Hospital.

Sarah Kyle - Veterinary Nursing Assistant

Sarah joined the team in 2017 and is currently training to obtain her Veterinary Care Assistant qualification.  Sarah hopes to go on to qualify as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the future.  Soon after joining the Group, Sarah adopted and hand reared a kitten who had been left in a box outside one of the branches at only 5 weeks old.
